Ashleigh Emily has been named Teacher of the Year, David Nelson as Staff Member of the Year, and Sara Porter as Principal of the Year for the 2019-2020 school year.
“Our staff is tremendous, but these three people really went above and beyond the call of duty, day in and day out, to help our students and school district be successful,” said Dr. Kim Hartlage, GCCS Assistant Superintendent for School Improvement. “We are so happy to give them the recognition they so deserve.”
On Friday, May 15, a team of administrators from Greater Clark County Schools surprised the three winners at their homes, giving them giant checks, a yard sign and more, to let them know they won.
“In the past, these winners would have been announced at our annual GCCS ‘Champions for Children’ event,” Hartlage said. “With that event postponed, we wanted to do something special for these three people to show them how much we appreciate them.”
