In an effort to promote an even stronger sense of community and more diverse programming options to better meet the needs of our students in the Charlestown Elementary Schools, the school communities of Jonathan Jennings Elementary School and Pleasant Ridge Elementary School are exploring reconfiguration options that will provide equitable opportunities for all Charlestown students to develop the whole child and to attain optimal achievement outcomes.
The reconfiguration model would essentially create
one elementary track in the two Charlestown buildings.
Pleasant Ridge would serve as the primary building for all Charlestown students Pre-K through grade 2
Jonathan Jennings would become an intermediate building for all Charlestown students in grades 3 – 5.
After a great deal of exploration and consideration to this possibility, we are seeking community input/questions. Please use this form to submit questions and concerns you might have regarding this possibility.
A community meeting will be hosted on Thursday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Charlestown Middle School. A presentation will be made by various stakeholders to share the proposal and justification for the plan. Facilitators will be available after the presentation to field additional questions/concerns that may arise from the content of the presentation.
We invite you to join us on November 17 and we look forward to sharing the information with you about this possibility.
