In response to the GCCS Board of School Trustee’s recent decision to try to build a new elementary school in downtown Jeffersonville, the GCCS Administration recommended contracting with TEG (The Estopinal Group) Architects to help determine the most appropriate site and cost-effective building to accommodate current Maple Elementary and Spring Hill Elementary students and staff. The Board of School Trustees approved the contract at their meeting this evening. TEG Architects will work with the district’s Facility Enhancement Tactic Team, comprised of school and central office staff members, as well as parents and community leaders in hopes of making a recommendation to the School Board as early as January of 2018. Tactic team meetings will begin in late August. The cost of TEG’s services is $17,6000 and will be paid for with Rainy Day funds. The Feasibility Study Proposal is attached for your information.
UPDATE: Greater Clark County Schools will be CLOSED on Monday, February 12th.
