Harry Potter Party at Charlestown High School

Charlestown High School students enjoyed a Harry Potter party in the Media Center! GCCS Nutrition Services/Charlestown H.S. an IDOE Best Practice

Students helped prepare food for the lunch service and were charged with designing a display plate. Students were surveyed about new food options on the cafeteria line and that feedback was used to make menu planning changes. CHS Football Homecoming Parade

Indiana’s longest running high school football Homecoming Parade was held on Thursday, September 8th. The parade traveled from the Charlestown High School parking lot, down Monroe Street to Main Street where the parade stopped for a pep rally at the Charlestown City Square. Pirate football will hosted North Harrison Friday with Homecoming festivities taking place during halftime. Go Pirates!

On August 11th, approximately 130 GCCS Advanced Placement seniors attended the Youth Conference on Global Citizenship at Indiana University Southeast. Second Annual CHS Iron Chef

On Thursday April 21, Mrs. Cassady’s  Nutrition and Wellness Class went head to head against GCCS & Aramark’s corporation Chef’s team for the second annual CHS Iron Chef Competition.
